A security officer attached to Kaduna International Airport was shot dead by gunmen suspected of being bandits.
The victim, Shehu Na’Allah, is a staff member of the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA).
Confirming the incident to Channels Television, airport manager Ms Amina Salami said the bandits invaded the airport through the perimeter fence from a nearby forest around 1 p.m. on Saturday afternoon and started shooting sporadically to scare the workers.

She further explained that a security guard from the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) who was patrolling around the runway was shot dead by the bandits.
The airport manager also revealed that the sound of a gunshot caught the attention of armed security guards who arrived on the scene and were able to repel the bandits who entered the main complex of the airport. airport.
The attack also delayed the departure of a plane scheduled for Lagos from Kaduna airport, while armed Nigerian Air Force agents and other military personnel took control of the innards and outside areas of the airport to fish out bandits.
