This could be your lucky day.

An Irish TV and media company is looking to cast Irish Waving Down Under for a new short series to air on RTÉ’s online player.

Cork-based company Encore Media is looking to recruit Irish people who have moved to Australia in recent years and have found “interesting jobs” in the process.

In a message posted on Facebook by Irish around Oz, Encore mentioned that they were looking for regular people with unusual jobs.

The post read: “IRISH TV CASTING CALL: We are looking for Irish people living in Australia for an exciting new short series for the all new RTE Player. We are looking for talkative, fun and outgoing people with interesting jobs, real characters who do not the normal 9 to 5.

“We have done similar shows for RTE in the past, most recently the ‘Making it Down Under’ and ‘Garda Down Under’ series in Australia. If you would like to participate, just email us and tell us a bit about yourself. and why you would make good TV! Email [email protected]

As mentioned in the article, Encore has previously produced shows for the national broadcaster, such as Make it down and Kept down, both of which are available on RTÉ Player.

Anyone who wants to participate or wants their 15 minutes of fame can get in touch with Encore by sending an email to [email protected]

However, they might want to do this in a pretty lively way, as the original Facebook post has been shared over 1,000 times at the time of writing.
