Florida State will return to Doak S. Campbell Stadium on Saturday, October 3 for their second home game of the season when they host Jacksonville State. This is the only non-conference game of the season for the Seminoles (0-1, 0-1 ACC). On Monday, the Atlantic Coast Conference announced a kick-off at 4 p.m. for the game between FSU and the Gamecocks. The match will be televised by RSN. We will share an affiliate list when it becomes available. Affiliates are usually announced 10 days before each contest.
The game between the Seminoles and the Gamecocks (0-0, 0-0 OVC) has been agreed from mid-August to the end. Jacksonville State, who is paid $ 400,000 to play against the Seminoles, replaced Samford on the FSU schedule, as the Bulldogs pulled out of any game in the fall earlier this month. The FSU were originally scheduled to face their non-conference opponent on the weekend of September 19, but with the change of opponents they changed the date of the match with their first pass, which originally fell on the weekend of October 3.
FSU will return home after facing No 12/14 Miami at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida.
JSU will play its first game of a shortened Fall 2020 schedule. The Ohio Valley Conference, to which they belong, chose not to play their conference program in the fall. The Gamecocks still play four non-conference games, all in October. After having faced the Seminoles, the following week, they welcome Mercier before continuing with a trip to Northern Alabama and concluding their fall schedule on Friday October 23 at Florida International.
FSU and Jacksonville State will also meet in the 2021 season. The Gamecocks travel to Tallahassee again on September 11, 2021. The series is tied 1-1 between the two teams, with FSU winning in 2009 and JSU. in 1947.
