Kick-off, TV for Georgia football in Tennessee

ATHENS, Georgia. – Georgia’s last SEC game of the season will take place inside the Neyland Stadium on November 13. We now know when that game will start and which network will broadcast it. CBS announced Monday that it will air the game at 3:30 p.m. as the SEC Game of the Week.

This will be UGA’s fourth appearance on CBS this season. The Bulldogs played Auburn on CBS as the first leg of a double header. They also won the SEC Network Game of the Week in clashes against Kentucky and Florida.

This is the second season in a row that the Bulldogs and Volunteers have held this 3:30 p.m. timeslot on CBS. Last year’s game was in Athens and UGA ran away late, winning 44-21. It was an evening kickoff the last time that game was held in Knoxville. It debuted at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN.

Georgia are currently 8-0 on the year and ranked No.1 in the PA and coaching polls after beating Florida 34-7 on Saturday. It will host Missouri next Saturday at 12 p.m. ET on ESPN. The Bulldogs will almost certainly be the No.1 team when the initial standings for the 2021 college football playoffs are released on Monday.

Tennessee has just had a week off and will face Kentucky this Saturday. This game is scheduled to kick off at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN2. The Volunteers are 4-4 this year with losses to Pitt, Florida, Alabama and Ole Miss. They scored victories against Bowling Green, Tennessee Tech, South Carolina and Missouri. Josh Heupel is in his first season as Tennessee head coach. He was hired this offseason after Jeremy Pruitt was ousted.

As UGA head coach, Kirby Smart is 4-1 against Tennessee. The Bulldogs lost to the Vols in Smart’s first season, but have since gone on to claim four straight wins.
