Kick-off, TV set for Georgia at Georgia Tech

ATHENS, Georgia. – After a one-year hiatus, Clean, Old-Fashioned Hate will return in 2021. Georgia will be at Georgia Tech for the second consecutive meeting and it was announced Monday that both teams will start at 12 p.m. ET. The game will be televised by ABC.

This is the seventh consecutive season that the Bulldogs and Yellow Jackets will kick off at noon. The last time it didn’t was in 2013, a match won by UGA 41-34 in double overtime. The last meeting between the two teams dates back to 2019 and it was also worn by ABC.

The Bulldogs are looking to continue an impressive winning streak against the Yellow Jackets in Atlanta. UGA last lost at Bobby-Dodd Stadium in 1999. In 2001, Mark Richt’s first team in Athens, Georgia started what is now a 10-game winning streak against their rival in the State. The victory also sparked a series where the Bulldogs won 16 of 19 games.

Geoff Collins, in his third season with Georgia Tech, has helped the team to a 3-7 record this year. The Yellow Jackets just lost 41-30 to Boston College and currently have a four-game losing streak. Their three wins came against Kennesaw State, North Carolina and Duke. Tech will travel to South Bend, Indiana, to face Notre Dame on November 20, with the kickoff scheduled for 2:30 p.m. ET on NBC.

Georgia is now 10-0 on the year and ranked No.1 by the college football playoff selection committee, Associated Press and coaches. He finished the SEC game on Saturday with a 41-17 victory over Tennessee, setting an unbeaten championship record for the first time since 1982. The Bulldogs face Charleston Southern on November 20 with a kick-off scheduled for 12 p.m. ET on SEC Network +.
