Mumbai: Television is one such medium that has enormous reach for viewers across the country.
A lot of amazing content is being produced on TV and it’s been ages since viewers have enjoyed watching it.
Television has always been an integral part of every household, especially in our country.
Saas-bahu sagas continue to rule the small screens even today.
However, apart from that, there has been a lot of evolution over time in terms of its content.
Viewers have seen how TV shows with new concepts are created and even actors are ready to experiment with them.

Television has become more realistic over time, and new concept shows are developing a distinct set of audiences.
However, the current trend in television has become quite bizarre.
Creators come up with sequels to popular and iconic shows these days.
Ekta Kapoor came back strong with season 2 of his hit show Kasauti Zindagi Kay in 2018 with a new all-star cast.
Although the series lasted two years, it failed to create the same magic as the first season which lasted 7 years on the small screens.
Not only that, shows like Naagin series, Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon? Ek Baar Phir, Qubool Hai 2.0, Jamai 2., Sasural Simar Ka 2, Sasuraal Genda Phool 2, Saath Nibhana Saathiya 2, Sarabhai VS Sarabhai Take 2, Khichdi 2, Balika Vadhu 2, Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2, Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi 3, Pratigya 2 are a few shows that once again came back to the small screens with the second and third season.
However, most of them turned out to be a big flop.
Although the creators did their best to create the same magic by bringing in a similar star cast, viewers weren’t thrilled to see their favorite shows remade.
It’s high time the creators realized that these iconic shows were made in a different era and bringing them back to the present day is pretty dicey.
Viewers’ tastes keep changing, and content that worked ten years ago doesn’t necessarily work today.
The creators tried their best to retain the essence of the previous season while bringing newness to these shows, but unfortunately, it didn’t work in their favor.
Many sequels received a very lukewarm response from viewers, and the shows wrapped just a few months after release.
Even the introduction of new players and leaps forward did not work in their favor.
In fact, the sequels only have a new cast, and the creators only focus on glamorous, grand grandeur while the quality of the story is compromised.
Well, it is rightly said that masterpieces should never be touched because they lose their essence when they are redone.
It will be interesting to see if the creators learn from the sequel debacle of shows being made or if they still choose to move forward and remake more iconic shows.
