SAS Australia: Convicted drug dealer Richard Buttrose hits out at executive staff

On Monday’s episode of SAS Australia, convicted drug dealer Richard Buttrose angrily clashed with the management team before being kicked off the show.

The drama began when DS Ollie Ollerton angrily confronted Richard for ‘taking shortcuts’ when he pulled his rope before being given the nod in a nail-biting cliff challenge.

Ollie went straight into Richard’s face yelling, “Stop taking shortcuts!” Do what the fuck you are told! Do you understand? Otherwise, I’ll push you there!

After the challenge, Richard was shaking with anger and complained to the other contestants that he had been accused of cheating.

He then confronted DS Dean Stott, snapping: ‘I don’t think I want to be on your stupid TV show anymore. You’re ripping tapes off me for bullshit I didn’t do.”

Dean tried to convince him that it was just part of the process and he wasn’t being targeted, but Richard insisted he was “shredded”.

DS Ant Middleton then arrived, grabbing Richard by the arm, who pushed him away and fled, with Ant in pursuit.

“I’m sick of bulls**t TV. I’m not falling in love with these bulls**t’s,” Richard ranted while dodging Ant’s attempts to approach him.

“Give us your number!” Ant shouted, suggesting he quit if he can’t handle the game.

“It’s just cheating,” Richard said. ‘I’m getting bands ripped off. Ollie says I’m a corner-cutting cheater.

“And you can’t handle that?” I’m sure you’ve been called worse than that before, Ant replied. “If you don’t want to be here, go ahead”.

Richard insisted he would stay, but accused Ant of playing up the situation for TV, snapping, “beautifully edited”.

“It’s not a scripted show. We don’t go back and look at the pictures. We don’t see you in your accommodation. I don’t know what you’re talking about editing,” Ant replied.

Ant then gave him an ultimatum: “If you can’t stand being called names, then this isn’t the place for you.” What do you want to do?’

“I’m sticking to the course,” Richard replied, and Ant replied, “So do that then!”

Oh my God: However, the matter was not settled, with Ant confronting Richard again after clashing with Paul Fenech in the van on the way back to camp. “It's not a scripted class, I don't know how you're going to act. If it's too much for you, get the hell out of here, Ant shouted

“It’s not a scripted class, I don’t know how you’re going to act. If this is too much for you, fuck off,’ Ant shouted.

‘Do you want to be here?’ he then asked Richard, who insisted, “You know the answer.”

Richard initially said “yes”, but then refused to answer a second time, and Ant stormed off and tore up his number, insisting he had to leave.

“Give me your number and go! Ant snapped and Richard replied, “Glad you had that moment?”

Deflated, Richard quit the show, having been kicked out, as Ant reminded rookies that the course was a process “designed to weed out the weak”.
